Mel E. Yost The Council is a group of local professionals recognized as advocates of philanthropy to enhance life in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. The health of a community is directly related to the concern its citizens have for one another. The goal of the Council is to sustain a united presence relative to the importance of philanthropy. • The Santa Fe Community Foundation publishes information to encourage citizens to be actively involved in their communities. The message is simple: philanthropy is essential for a community’s health and well-being. By volunteering their time and providing gifts to their favorite charitable causes, citizens will help to make their communities more rewarding places in which to live. • This information appears in local newspapers and Santa Fe Community Foundation newsletters, annual reports and web site. • By having your name attached to this communication, you will receive e-mail updates from the foundation on current planned giving and tax-related issues. As a member of the National Council on Foundations, we have access to a wealth of information. The Council provides references for further study of an issue and those references have proven to be beneficial and enlightening. • We will seek occasional input from you on relevant community issues. Periodically, we will e-mail questions to you regarding ways we might be more helpful to you and your clients. We will not seek professional advice. • There are no meetings or obligations to attend any events and there is no financial commitment required of members. The Council is a coalition of professional community leaders who serve as examples to their fellow citizens. As a member, you have no obligations and many benefits. If you wish to be included as a member of the Santa Fe Community Foundation Council of Professional Advisors, we ask you to do the following: Please respond by e-mailing Valerie Ingram. Include how you wish to have your name listed in publications. Please indicate the proper way to list the name of your firm.
