What We Do: Community Leadership

The Community Leadership Fund allows the Foundation to provide important services to improve the community in three significant ways:

  1. Increasing Donor Impact: Giving donors opportunities to learn about pressing needs in the community through lectures, workshops, and roundtables, and ways they can structure their giving to make the biggest possible difference.
  2. Improving Nonprofit Performance: Offering workshops and other technical assistance to help local nonprofits achieve efficiency and increase their effectiveness. Topics include Board Development, Financial Oversight, Fundraising, Planned Giving, and much more.
  3. Enhancing SFCF Grantmaking: Improving and increasing the number and size of grants that we make to nonprofits doing excellent work in the community. The Community Leadership Fund allows us to address special and urgent needs as well as to make multi-year strategic grants that address some of our most challenging community problems.

The Community Leadership Fund accepts general contributions to support the mission of the Foundation in the community. We encourage contributions so that we may continue to meet the community's changing needs.
