Executive Director Learning Circle

Piloted in 2015, the Executive Director Learning Circle provides a space for community learning and peer dialogue. Serving as a nonprofit executive director is a great privilege and a particular challenge. You wear many hats, from holding your organization's vision, to minding the daily details, fostering partnership, and generating financial support. Join this series to connect with fellow directors for learning and networking. Session topics have included board diversity, federal tax changes, organizational growth, telling your story and personal resiliency.

Marsie Silvestro and Ross Chaney facilite this group and offer a wealth of experience to share. There is no charge to attend. Please see 2021 details and registration below.

2021 Sessions:
All sessions take place on the third Thursday of the month from 8:30-10:30am over Zoom. There is no fee to participate.

  • January 21, 2021 - What is Your Branding? Share your intention for 2021 and reflect on the tools necessary to reach your goals.
  • February 18, 2021 - Transitioning Back into the Office - Discussion about OSHA and HR guidance, what you need to know now. Guest Speaker Brooke Hunter.
  • March 18, 2021 - "Working Together"
    Guest speakers Kyra Ochoa and Rich Brown, Department Directors with the City of Santa Fe talk about how they work hand-in-hand with the nonprofit sector to close gaps in serving the community and what the city is doing to support the needs of small businesses and nonprofit agencies. 
  • April 15, 2021 - Building Supportive Leadership from Within 
  • May 20, 2021 - Funder Panel invited to join the discussion while you uplift community stories
  • June 17, 2021 - The Qualified Small Empoyer Health Reimbursement Arrangements and Health Care in Today's Market with COVID-19. Guest Anne Sperling of Vanguard Resources.
  • July 15, 2021 - Brewing and Doing - a thought partner discussion to help develop your boldest ideas
  • August 2021 - No Session     
  • September 16, 2021 - COVID is a health issue, however has divided people by political belief. This division is seeping into how people respond to workplace policies. How do we minimize risks and maximize connection? Building power, access and equity in community needs to start with workplace policies.
  • October 21, 2021 - The October session will be an opportunity to meet with and get to know more about Santa Fe Community Foundation's NEW CEO Christoper Goett and for him to get to know you and your organization.
  • November 18, 2021
