Be a Community Justice Worker!
About the event
This workshop will help navigators learn to spot the variety of legal problems faced by clients, including survivors of domestic violence and the LGBTQ+ community. The workshop will provide direction about how to connect them with services at New Mexico Legal Aid, and how to work with attorneys as part of a holistic advocacy team to give clients all the support they need.
Led by New Mexico Legal Aid, this training will provide awareness to help your clients with:
- Keeping housing
- Workplace issues
- SNAP and other benefits
- Protecting credit
- Restraining orders
- Safety at school
This legal Aid workshop is intended for Navigators, Social Workers, Promotoras, and all other non-attorney Community Justice Workers.
