Hybrid Event (details upon registration)
As the world changes around us, we are forced to take a deeper look at the relevance of our mission and the way in which we serve our communities. There may be changes in community demographics, the needs of those we serve, and access to technology, etc. One example of organizations that have had to shift to meet community needs, is rural libraries. Libraries are no longer just about books and publications. Many now serve as food banks, job search centers, and children’s activity providers. How have they met this challenge? What can we learn from them and apply in our work?
This session features Rachel Exposito, Executive Director at Embudo Valley Library and Community Center, as a guest speaker.

Series co-facilitators, Marsie Silvestro and Ross Chaney, offer a wealth of experience to share. There is no charge to attend.

Racial Healing and Renewal Cohort: Session 4
with Robert Nelson and Kendra Toth
This four-session program is based on building the capacity for trusting relationships by analyzing our individual identities within the context of the history of oppression. Healing is a revolutionary act. Honoring lessons from elders in the justice movement, it is imperative that we no longer perpetuate the grinding style of activism that replicates the same exploitative practices on our bodies, minds, and hearts. Healing involves stopping the production of social justice and to holistically understand personal proximity to power allows for real healing.
