Ways Nonprofits Can Ask For Funds from State, County, and Local Government
Details
About the event
Smaller nonprofits often miss out on opportunities to access government funding because they aren’t aware of the opportunities or how to engage. This presentation will explain the various types of funding available. It will provide an overview of the different requirements, and specifics on where to find more information. The workshop addresses equity by empowering rural and marginalized nonprofits with information to increase their access to funding. It disrupts systemic inequity through information sharing.

Racial Healing and Renewal Cohort: Session 4
with Robert Nelson and Kendra Toth
This four-session program is based on building the capacity for trusting relationships by analyzing our individual identities within the context of the history of oppression. Healing is a revolutionary act. Honoring lessons from elders in the justice movement, it is imperative that we no longer perpetuate the grinding style of activism that replicates the same exploitative practices on our bodies, minds, and hearts. Healing involves stopping the production of social justice and to holistically understand personal proximity to power allows for real healing.
