A Message from Yolanda Cruz, Philanthropy Hub Coordinator

2022 has been filled with a year of learning and connecting. The Philanthropy Hub hosted over 1,400 attendees at more than 45 learning opportunities. These included the ongoing Board Workshop Series, Fundraising Immersion, and Learning Lab Series, as well as the launch of the Hub Leadership Development Institute pilot. These opportunities are designed to nurture leadership and strengthen skills in our sector, and we are proud to have participants from across the region, New Mexico, and beyond.

The best way I can think of to share the impact of this work is through the words of participants:

“I'm learning so much. The platform is fantastic, and the 1:1 coaching has been so helpful! I'm starting to feel more confident in our fundraising efforts.”
Nicole Maes-Gonzales, Executive Director Gerard’s House - Jumpstart Participant
“I didn't know what quite to expect from this workshop and was blown away with the wealth of information I received. I didn't realize how many areas in our organization were needing reinforcement and a better foundation. This workshop shined the light on these areas and has given us a great action plan for moving forward!” - Fundraising Immersion Participant
“I enrolled in the Board Member Workshop because I want to continue to hone my skills and learn from the experience of others with nonprofit board expertise. The first session was a great start in laying the groundwork for the series and I'm energized to continue benefiting from this series offered by The Santa Fe Community Foundation and Santa Fe SCORE.” - Diane Ramsey, Board member Girls Inc of Santa Fe – Board Training Participant
“I appreciated being part of a community of catalysts and change-makers here in New Mexico. Not only do they inspire me, but they have taught me so much in reflection of their leadership and mine. I have made lifelong connections that I can lean into for professional and communal care and power." - Jaime Gloshay, Native Women Lead – New Mexico Women of Color Nonprofit Leadership Initiative Alumna

We hosted one in-person small event in 2022, the Emerging Social Sector Leaders. It was a powerful day of connecting, learning, and creating.
