Learning Lab: Responding to Me Too - How Nonprofit Employers Can Use Trauma-Informed Practices to Address Sexual Harassment and Violence in the Workplace
Lisa Weisenfeld, Facilitator

Tuesday, May 21, 2019 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This session is available for remote access; see registration and join us from the convenience of your own desk.

In the wake of the #MeToo movement and the rising rates of violence in the workplace, many employers are reconsidering their policies, practices, and responsibilities. Traditional human resource responses to these issues have been largely directed at reducing liability rather than supporting employees or changing culture. The goal of this training is to help employers create a safer and more productive workplace through the use of trauma informed practices.

Objectives:

  • Understand the basic definitions of harassment and interpersonal violence and how they impact the workplace.
  • Learn how updating current policies and practices can help employers prevent and respond to sexual harassment and the impact of interpersonal violence.
  • Find out what resources are available and how to access them.

Who should attend?
Nonprofit supervisors and employees
