Learning Lab: Prospect Research for Smaller Organizations with Jennifer Kilbourn

Wednesday, June 12, 2019 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM

This session is available for remote access; see registration and join us from the convenience of your own desk.

Funding for good prospect research is mostly dedicated for capital campaigns and organizational budgets in the multi-millions. This workshop is designed for organizations that do not have dedicated staff resources or the budget to outsource quality prospect research. We will explore accessible tools and resources and apply techniques of prospect research to engage and encourage current staff and board in field research activities.

Who should attend?
Nonprofit staff, board, and volunteers

Jennifer Kilbourn has close to twenty years of experience working with non-profit fundraising, administration and management. She began as a canvasser in Denver for environmental, consumer protection, literary arts and social justice organizations. A resident of Santa Fe since 1999, she has served on the administrative and fundraising staff of economic development, higher education, environmental conservation and cultural affairs non-profit organizations. During this time, she also served as a board member, development chair and president of a long-established health and human services organization. In 2011, she began consulting full time with an emphasis on grant writing, prospect research management, and the creation and implementation of administrative systems to track and elevate overall fundraising efficiencies and success. Jennifer has worked with clients in animal welfare, health and human services, secondary education, performing arts and cultural affairs and youth development sectors to achieve mutually determined goals.
