Learning Lab: Marketing & Communications Tactics for Nonprofit Advocacy with Suzanne Lawson and Paul Sanchez-Hindi

Tuesday, June 25, 2019 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Effectively utilizing a variety of communication tactics can increase your organization’s brand awareness, support grassroot volunteer efforts, and lead to more successful advocacy efforts.

Key objectives for this session:

  • Review primary advocacy communication plan objectives, including developing a compelling message, building key partnerships/collaborations, and understanding how success is measured.
  • Create an understanding of communications tactics that are best suited to advocacy efforts, including building media relationships, writing news releases, utilizing social media, creating email action alerts, and more.
  • Develop an implementation timeline for advocacy communications tactics.
  • Review spokesperson strategies and allow attendees to develop talking points (as time allows).
