Empty Stocking Fund: Delivering help, sharing hope

Conservation Science Center at New Mexico Highlands University
The Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fire redefined our landscape and our focus as we considered our displaced population and the multitude of challenges ahead. The Science Conservation Center at Highlands University quickly pivoted and used SFCF funds to support “Querencia in Action” workshops designed to build community capacity in post-fire land restoration.
Santa Fe Fat Tire Society
"When there are opportunities to help others in our community we can all come together and do our part. The catastrophic fires affect all of us, but some have lost everything. It is the least we can do to show solidarity and raise some funds."
The Food Depot
In response to the recent wildfires and subsequent flooding, The Food Depot has supported the community by preparing and delivering meals, providing essential items to evacuation shelters, organizing donation drives, and more.
Teatro Paraguas
Since 2004, Teatro Paraguas has presented close to 100 contemporary Latinx plays and plays by New Mexico playwrights, as well as poetry readings, flamenco concerts, children's theatre, workshops and community events such as our annual El Día de los Muertos celebration.
Community Matters: New Mexico Wildfires

New Mexico Legal Aid
New Mexico Legal Aid has joined the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the State Bar of New Mexico Young Lawyers Division, and the American Bar Association to assist New Mexico wildfire victims.
