With a dual focus on immediate impact and long-term sustainability, this fund aims to uplift and empower Black communities throughout the state, while creating an enduring legacy for future generations.

For over three decades, the Empty Stocking Fund has served as the “Emergency Support Fund” for our neighbors experiencing significant financial challenges during the holiday season. The Empty Stocking Fund provides support to families living within a 50-mile radius of Santa Fe for housing assistance, car repairs, home heating, utility bills, and more.

Santa Fe Community Foundation offers assistance to eligible nonprofits engaged in merger conversations—where it has been established the community may be better served by nonprofits combining work, efficiencies and improved service delivery.

Attention nonprofits! This hour-long information session will walk you through the Santa Fe Community Foundation's 2024 fall grant proposal process and include a Q&A session. Please note that our two pre-proposal sessions (offered on July 30 & August 8 ) cover the same information. We encourage you to sign up for whichever date works best with your schedule.

We are positioned to receive a range of assets to seed a fund or add to an existing fund—from to cash to stocks to real property.

There are a variety of important milestones in our lifetimes and tax-efficient approaches to managing them. Handling capital gains, inheritance, required minimum distributions (RMD) from IRAs and more—the Foundation is here to assist you or partner with your financial advisor in fulfilling your optimal strategy for giving.
What are the minimums to establish a fund?
We have many vehicles (fund types) for giving available to our donors.
The minimum to establish a Donor Advised Fund, for example, is $25,000.
