Donor & Grantee Stories
We serve an average of 100-120 patrons per day, and provide food boxes on a weekly basis to other needy families who are referred by a church or other partner agency... Filling the needs of the poor and hungry of the Española Valley and surrounding communities is an ongoing project and our main mission.
Kitchen Angels serves residents of Santa Fe and other Northern New Mexico communities who are homebound, in a health crisis, lack the resources for regular meals, and are not eligible for other local meal services. In our 32 years of service we have prepared and delivered over 2 million free meals to 8,211 clients by 5,000 volunteers…and counting.
The Interfaith Community Shelter at Pete's Place offers hope and a safe place for those who are homeless or vulnerable with the greatest need as they overcome adversity. Working with volunteers and community groups, the Shelter provides short-term survival services — food, clothing, shelter, showers, service navigation — for homeless individuals, active service experiences for volunteers and additional long-term services for homeless individuals in collaboration with several local service provider partners.
