TYPES OF FUNDS
Funds at the Foundation
We offer four main giving vehicles to meet your philanthropic needs:
Donor Advised Fund
Take an active role and work with Foundation staff in making grants.
Designated Fund
Provide permanent ongoing support for one or more specific nonprofit organizations.
Field of Interest Fund
Support our community grants program in one or more area, such as the environment, the arts, or a specific community or region.
Impact Fund
Allow the Foundation to address emerging and pressing needs.
Community Leadership Fund
Our Community Leadership Fund allows us to improve community outcomes in four significant ways: increasing donor impact, improving nonprofit capacity and performance, enhancing our grantmaking, and investing in strategic initiatives.
Community Resiliency Fund
Our Community Resiliency Fund supports New Mexico’s capacity to recover from difficult, sweeping events, dismantle systems of racism, and protect our land — today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
Earthseed Community Fund
The Earthseed Community Fund is dedicated to supporting Black life, arts, and culture in New Mexico. With a dual focus on immediate impact and long-term sustainability, this fund aims to uplift and empower Black communities throughout the state, while creating an enduring legacy for future generations.
Empty Stocking Fund
For over three decades, the Empty Stocking Fund has served as the “Emergency Support Fund” for our neighbors experiencing significant financial challenges during the holiday season. The Empty Stocking Fund provides support to families living within a 50-mile radius of Santa Fe for housing assistance, car repairs, home heating, utility bills, and more.
Envision Fund
The Envision Fund is the first and largest LGBTQ+ funder in the state of New Mexico with over $1 million made in grants since its inception.
Native American Advised Fund
The Native American Advised Fund enhances Native lifeways now and for future generations in New Mexico by promoting a spirit of sharing and supporting community initiatives.
Nonprofit Merger Fund
There are over 1,100 nonprofits registered as 501(c)(3)s in Santa Fe. Santa Fe Community Foundation offers assistance to eligible nonprofits engaged in merger conversations—where it has been established the community may be better served by nonprofits combining work, efficiencies and improved service delivery.
