Each winter, one of the clearest examples of how our community shows up for one another is the Empty Stocking Fund.
Since 1981, the fund has helped families and individuals in Santa Fe and Rio Arriba counties weather moments of sudden hardship. For decades, the Santa Fe Community Foundation and The Santa Fe New Mexican have partnered to make it possible alongside thousands of generous members of our community.
This year, that generosity can go twice as far with your early support.
For the second year in a row, the Anderson Charitable Foundation is committing $15,000 in matching support. And this year, the Anchorum Health Foundation is joining the effort with a generous $50,000 match. Together, that means every dollar donated this season will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $65,000.

Presented annually since 1987, the Piñon Awards are among northern New Mexico's most prestigious recognitions of nonprofit excellence.
