The Art of Generosity: Forest Stewards Guild

Stories have the power to connect, inspire, and spark meaningful change. That’s why we’re proud to share The Art of Generosity, our new editorial series in partnership with Table Magazine New Mexico that shines a light on the people and organizations shaping the cultural, social, and economic fabric of our region.

The latest feature spotlights Forest Stewards Guild, a Santa Fe-founded nonprofit celebrating 30 years of promoting responsible forest management across the United States. Led by Executive Director Zander Evans, the Guild continues to grow its reach while staying rooted in collaboration and long-term stewardship.

As Evans shares in the story:

“The Guild’s work is incredibly rewarding because we see the positive impact of responsible stewardship every day. What I most pride myself on is identifying gaps where we can make a difference. For example, we introduced AI wildfire detection cameras in New Mexico, which was a small but impactful project.”
