2025 Juneteenth Recap
Thank you to all who joined the Empower! Black Futures Community Fund at Santa Fe Community Foundation for Juneteenth commemorations in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. We were grateful for the opportunity to come together as a community in remembrance, solidarity, and joy in honor of Black freedom and culture. This year marked a special moment for the Empower! Fund as it announced its inaugural round of grants in support of Black life, arts, and culture in New Mexico.

Q&A with Alex Hanna
In 2013, Alex Hanna and his husband Yon Hudson sued the Santa Fe County Clerk to be legally married. Soon after, he was introduced to the Santa Fe Community Foundation’s Envision Fund, New Mexico's first and largest fund dedicated to LGBTQ+ causes.
Wildfire Support — Southern New Mexico
The Greatest Needs Impact Fund is currently directing efforts to Lincoln and Otero. This fund will provide financial resources to support the immediate and long-term recovery needs for the people, animals, and places affected by the devastating wildfires in Southern New Mexico. Our hearts are with our communities and neighbors in Lincoln and Otero.
