"The Envision Fund committee is honored to make grantmaking decisions that will not only shore up the work of the many LGBTQ+ agencies and groups serving our statewide community but, in doing so, we also help to save lives,” said Marsie Silvestro, Envision Fund Committee Chair.
The Envision Fund was started in 1997 with support from national foundations and discretionary resources at the Santa Fe Community Foundation. In 2017, the Envision Fund was relaunched as a statewide funder supporting LGBTQ+ organizations outside of the Santa Fe Community Foundation’s traditional footprint of grantmaking in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, Mora, and San Miguel counties.
“This year, the Envision Fund celebrates 25 years of serving our region’s LGBTQ+ communities,” said Christopher Goett, President & CEO of the Santa Fe Community Foundation. “We’re incredibly grateful for the leadership and support of our advisory committee, nonprofit partners, and donors as we work together toward a New Mexico where everyone can thrive.”
Today, the Envision Fund is the largest philanthropic entity in New Mexico dedicated solely to serving the LGBTQ+ population. Since its inception, the Fund has awarded over $1.1 million to nonprofits across the state.
The Fund is possible due to the leadership of its advisory committee and the generosity of its many supporters both institutional and individual. To learn more and donate to the Envision Fund, please visit www.santafecf.org/causes/lgbtq or call 505.988.9715.
