Envision Fund awards $85,000 to LGBTQ+-serving nonprofits
The Envision Fund of the Santa Fe Community Foundation, the first and largest LGBTQ+ funder in New Mexico, is pleased to announce $85,000 in grants to 17 LGBTQ+-serving nonprofit organizations across New Mexico.
The 2024 grants, which range from $2,500 - $12,000, support the fund’s four priority areas: creating an HIV-Free generation in New Mexico; combatting discrimination against LGBTQ+ people (employment, housing, immigration, access to health services); supporting school-based programs that create a safe environment for all students, including LGBTQ+ students; and promoting holistic reproductive health and gender-affirming healthcare.
"Grants to nonprofits supporting the LGBTQ+ community are only possible thanks to financial contributions of the many stakeholders who surround us,” said Alex Solórzano, Envision Fund Advisory Committee chair. “We are grateful to each, and every one of you. And, we invite others to be part of something truly meaningful... Join the Envision Fund in our mission to support LGBTQ+ programs and initiatives that provide vital resources for the most vulnerable individuals in our community. Let’s build a future free of discrimination, where everyone can live authentically, without fear and where everyone can thrive!"
2024 Envision Fund grantees include Casa Q; Equality New Mexico; GLSEN New Mexico; Health Equality Alliance for LGBTQ New Mexicans; IndigenousWays; Justice, Access, Support and Solutions for Health; The Mountain Center; The New Mexico Dream Team; New Mexico Community AIDS Partnership; New Mexico Legal Aid, Inc.; Santa Fe Dreamers Project; Santa Fe Public Schools / Office of Student Wellness; The Sky Center/New Mexico Suicide Intervention Project; Solace Sexual Assault Services; Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico; Únashay; and University of New Mexico Foundation - Truman Health Services.

“The Envision Fund reflects our deep commitment to building a more just and inclusive New Mexico,” said Christopher Goett, President & CEO of the Santa Fe Community Foundation. “By supporting organizations that address the critical needs of LGBTQ+ individuals, we hope to create pathways for greater equality and foster a future where every person can thrive without fear or discrimination.”
