Executive Director Learning Circle Wraps for 2025
Strengthening leadership in northern New Mexico
The Santa Fe Community Foundation’s Learning Hub recently wrapped another meaningful year of the Executive Director Learning Circle: a free, drop-in series designed exclusively for nonprofit Executive Directors across northern New Mexico. Since 2015, the Circle has provided executive directors with a rare and trusted space to step away from daily demands, reflect on their leadership, and connect with peers who truly understand the challenges of the role.
Throughout 2025, sessions explored topics such as board development, fundraising alignment, emotional intelligence, and equity-centered leadership. Conversations were candid, practical, and deeply rooted in the realities of leading mission-driven organizations in our region.
With deep gratitude
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Executive Director Learning Circle facilitators, Marsie Silvestro and Ross Chaney, whose insight and compassion shaped each discussion. We also thank this program's guest speakers, Dr. Monique Anair, Nathana Bird, Sarah Ghiorse, Rep. Anita Gonzales, Diane Hamamoto, Joseph Hill, Dennis McCutcheon, Vanessa Meier, Rita O’Connell, Ane’ Romero, Carla Romero, Steve Smaby, Sen. Liz Stefanics, and Horacio Trujillo, for generously sharing their expertise and perspectives. And to every executive director who joined us this year: thank you for showing up, speaking honestly, and strengthening this circle of peer support.
Looking ahead to 2026
Beginning in January, the Executive Director Learning Circle will meet every other month, alternating with the Fundraisers' Forum. Each hybrid session will continue to center on practical leadership strategies, peer connection, and shared problem-solving, all in a supportive, confidential environment.
There is no cost to participate. Simply come when you can, bring your questions, and connect with fellow Executive Directors who are navigating similar challenges and opportunities. We look forward to announcing the 2026 topics and will open registration later this winter.
