2021 Grants Cycle
NextGen, the Santa Fe Community Foundation's group of young philanthropists, capped off its fourth grantmaking cycle by awarding $20,000 in grants to two local organizations that are working to advance education.
NextGen is a hands-on experience in philanthropy for rising leaders who care about local issues and want to make a bigger impact. Each year, members of the group work together to pool their giving toward an issue they vote on, view proposals, and award grants to local nonprofits.

A newly published report, “Impact of Federal Funding Changes on New Mexico’s Philanthropic Sector,” commissioned by the Thornburg Foundation, Santa Fe Community Foundation, and Anchorum Health Foundation, examines the effects of recent suspensions in federal funding on New Mexico’s nonprofit sector.
