Following the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fire, the land is scorched and burned. Last week, the Hermit's Peak Watershed Alliance invited us to join them north of Las Vegas, NM to learn more about the important work ahead in the restoration of our lands and water.

When the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon fire evacuations started, requests for help came into Sunrise Kiwanis Las Vegas by the hundreds. Soon, they got to work providing critical services to the evacuees and rural communities most impacted by the wildfire.
