Fundraising is more than asking for money — it is about building trust, communicating vision, and cultivating relationships that sustain community impact over time. This session explores practical, relationship-based approaches to fundraising that nonprofit leaders can apply immediately.

Through a mix of interactive activities and practical discussion, participants will explore and define respect, boundaries, and responsibilities in their work environment. The session will also introduce key concepts related to stress responses, workplace dynamics, and how these show up in day to day interactions. Continuing education units (CEUs) will be provided at no cost.

This session is part of a transformative two-year program, designed for women of color leaders in northern New Mexico's nonprofit sector.

Join representatives from foundations and philanthropic organizations serving northern New Mexico for a conversation about today's funding landscape. Panelists will share their funding priorities, application processes, and perspectives on emerging community needs while offering participants the opportunity to ask questions and build a deeper understanding of how to cultivate strong, lasting funding relationships.

This interactive workshop introduces the concept of "Assistant Syndrome" as a framework for examining how people-pleasing, overcommitment, and self-sacrifice can show up in leadership. Participants will have an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences, identify patterns that may be limiting their growth, explore practices that support greater self-advocacy and alignment, and create a personal action plan.
