This session is part of a transformative two-year program, designed for women of color leaders in northern New Mexico's nonprofit sector.

Discrimination and harassment claims are among the most damaging, and most preventable, risks a nonprofit can face. This session covers what federal and New Mexico law require of you as an employer: who is protected, what counts as harassment, and how to respond when a complaint comes in. We'll also look at where diversity, equity, and inclusion practices stand legally in 2026, and how to build a workplace that is welcoming and respectful while still being a fun place to come to work.

Federal policy discussions continue to shape the environment in which nonprofits operate. This virtual session will help nonprofit leaders better understand current federal developments, hear directly from congressional staff, and explore what these conversations could mean for nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.
